All Members of this Caste are expected to take a blood oath, to both the Caste and the GL's. The Male/Female ratio has been abolished and is now replaced with a vote differential. The new vote differential only applies to matters concerning the Caste Guidelines and General Business and is as follows -- Males are allowed one full vote Females are allowed one half vote Female members of this Caste will NOT participate in field work such as field work collaring. (This does not include collaring uncollared slaves, "black silk" slaves, or those slaves who approach you, or whom you approach to collar, this is mainly collaring free persons) Their activities are limited to the selling, buying, and training of slaves. This is in lieu of the Gorean novels which are the guideline for our role play forum. Any SN or Profile deleted without prior notification for a minimum of 7 days will be placed on "Missing" status. Upon return, provided it is within the 7 days, the Slaver will be allowed to resume his/her status and registrion within the Caste. Any SN or Profile deleted without prior notification for a minimum of 14 days will be placed on "Inactive" status. Upon return, the Slaver will have to reapply to the Slaver's Caste as a new member. Former members who have deleted and returned without prior notice will be made to reapply to the Caste as new members. Once their applications have been approved, they will be assigned a new registration number, their prior status removed. The only exception to this is members who have account problems which are unavoidable. For these members a thirty (30) day leniency is allowed. After thirty (30) days has elapsed, the slaver will be made to reapply fully to the Caste of Slavers as a new member. Applicable to Applicants - Applicants to the caste who have been denied registration due to complaints filed against them during the application process, or are denied registration due to insufficient votes in their favor, cannot reapply to the caste for 90 days from the date of application denial. Members of the Slaver's Caste will accept legitimate AA's. Initiation of a DM by a Slaver is greatly discouraged, for what possible, profitable reason would a Slaver initiate a DM? But it is up to the individual Slaver's discretion if they wish to participate in such a match. Slavers DO NOT offer Protection......... Period. Slavers are responsible for continuous logging. Include in your logs the events leading up to a collaring. A log consisting of only the ko'laring may not be accepted and up for review. Cloak SN's will be used ONLY for organized raids and or risk apparent contracts. Any Slaver found using the cloak without prior approval will have their membership revoked and any slaves aquired during the use of the name released. Collaring Free Persons is now left between the muns of the two characters. If both agree then it is legal. Members of this Caste will NOT play with or acknowledge anyone with a Mun age under 18. High Chairs and the two Masters at arms are elected positions, reigning for a period of six mun months. ALL registered members have a vote. All other positions are determined by a volunteer basis of those muns who have the time to dedicate to the responsibility of the position. Slavers caste guidelines with regard to dice. Applicable to Newly Registered Slavers - Newly registered slavers regardless of gender will be on probation for the period of (1 mun month) whereas during said probation period all newly inducted slavers of both genders will be assigned dice levels which are 2d21 and 1d21 respectively. Applicable to Female Slavers - Women of the caste do not participate in contract captures, fieldwork, or combat, thus dice remain at 2d21 and 1d21 respectively until completion of the mandatory probationary period reserved for newly registered slavers, whereas only escape dice would be raised to 1d23. Non Probational Slavers - Slavers completing the probational period will receive the following increase in rank. ***See chart below. (Males only) 2d22 Combat (Males only) 1d23 Capture/Detainment (Male and Female) 1d23 Escape Elder Slavers - Elder slavers in good standing within the caste, including those not facing disciplinary procedures receive an increase in rank effective immediately or upon expiration of the probationary status. Reasons for Changes - While it is a true fact slavers don't possess the same skills as warriors and assassins, it must be pointed out slavers posses highly specialized skills assassins and warriors are not trained in, such as capture, binding, knotting, lock picking, and escape, thus the need for 2d22 and 1d23 respectively is within reason in relation to the above mentioned areas of expertise. It is also noted female slavers do not participate in field work, contract captures or combat. Unregistered slavers sometimes referred to as rogue slavers and or outlaws use the probationary dice 2d21 and 1d21 respectively until which time they become registered and complete the probationary period, or remain unregistered, which ever is applicable. Disciplinary Procedures - Any slaver who repeatedly disregards caste guidelines will be subject to disciplinary actions agreed upon collectively by the three High Chairs of the caste, in conjunction with a hearing attended by all involved parties. Penalties as deemed applicable may include probation to last for a period of 1 - 3 (mun months) and the lowering of rank to probationary rank during the probationary period agreed upon. In the most extreme circumstance, a member of the slavers caste may face expulsion from the caste if numerous complaints have been filed against a particular caste member and verified. Amendments: 02-25-06 No SN/Char will be allowed to duel play in this Gor and in another Gor. If you leave to go to a different Gor then you will be removed from the scrolls of this Gor's Slaver's Caste and if you should ever want to come back to this Gor then you must once again reapply to the Slaver's Caste and start over completely.
