BATTLEFIELD OBSTACLE COURSE

This Exercise is to give men the experience of racing across the battlefield to under hostile Conditions.

The Mission: Men you are to take this Scroll across the battlefield and give it to the Captain of another unit. It is a vital message and important for the outcome of this battle. You timed on skill and speed.

Slowest time Possible is 111 minutes. If you drop the Scroll slowest time becomes 126 minutes.

However there is a few twists to this game. It will simulate battlefield to its fullest. You will duck, dodge and roll to avoid your enemy and real arrows will fly at your direction. So Healers will be put on standby. Yes, this could cause fatalities, but this is Gor and a few accidents are to be expected during such drills designed to train the men.

Of course Player Characters seem to never die. LOL. Just the NPC's. So anyone taking a total of 15 or more points of damage will hear an Official on the field call a halt to the exercise and have the "Warrior" taken to the Clinic. Whoever is rolling for the "special" archers won't name locations of where you aim, the person getting hit will name his own hits.

I expect these Hits to be RP'd so our Healers will have something to do. It is allowed for FW and others to come and watch the Warriors run the drills. This will give them things to worry over.

::Smirks:: This information will not be shared with the FW or those outside the Pride. This way they will be on edges of their seats wondering if its possible for any of us to die. :;takes a breath:: Did I miss anything?

Ground Rules: You will start with one Scroll to deliver. Naturally you have to tuck it away quickly. If you roll 3 Misses in a row, you dropped the scroll. You will RP racing back to find it and moving on. However this will dock your run time by 5 minutes.
Anyone making a successful Run Time without dropping the Scroll will be awarded 15 minutes Off of their time.
This is to show the Warrior achieved his Objective and the counter attack was successful.

Scoring. Each point you score equals 2 minutes. If your total at the end of the course is 15 for example, you deduct 30 minutes from 111 and that gives you your total "Run Time." In this case that would be 81. If it was a good run you then deduct the 15 for scroll delivery time. Thus "Total Time" is 66 minutes.

The Battlefield: You start on top of a 12 foot wall over looking the field. Only 1 problem..... You've lost all your weapons. You must find weapons along your travels. Are you ready to begin your Run?

The Hazard: Each time you "Fail" to hit an enemy, he gets an opertunity to shot at you. An Archer <2D20> will fire at you each time one of your attacks miss. You may end the run at any time you desire. Simply turn to an official and give him the sign.

1. From top of the wall you secure the scroll you recieved from your Captain or Commander. You find a bow and a single arrow upon the wall and fire at a Target nearby. <roll your Die>
Once done you leap over the wall.

2. Once done you leap over the wall. Make your way to the first barrier. At this location you will find a throwing Axe to use on the next Target. <roll attack>

3. From here rolling, dodging or such, you race to Second barrier. At this location is a spear laying next to the dummy body of a fallen Warrior, this is the next weapon you will use on a target. <roll die>

4. Over a pile of broken pieces from an old catapult you find nearby a war hammer, yes they can be thrown up to 50'. But your target is only 25' away. There is more cover here. <roll die>

5. Now to cross open ground thru a maze of dummies. They are dressed as Trevians. On a barrel you will find a dagger for the first victim. You make use that dagger as you will. <roll die>

6. As you pass the first dummy you will notice on the ground near him a sword, it is a long sword. Must been this man's blade. You pick it up to go to Dummy 2 and use the sword on it. <roll die>

7. Now onto dummy 3, you probably still have that last dagger and sword from the first two targets. You may get creative and decide how to deal with number 3. <roll die>

8. Near Target 3 was this tied off Kaiila. There is a crossbow hanging across its saddle and you must race in a straight line to your objective as you want to make the fastest time possible. However there are men in your path. You will find '1' bolt in a quiver hooked to the the saddlehorn. That will be used on this objective. <roll die>

9. Just past the last victim you found a lance in the ground. You are to pick up the lance and at charging speed use it to kill the next victim. <roll die>

10. It is here that you must dismount the kaiila and move the rest of the way on foot. As you dismount a simulated dummy swings down as if leaping from a wagon or something. You are to dispatch it as you see fit by any hand-to-hand means up and including your feet or head etc. <roll die>

11. Now race to this barrier and you'll notice a bola on the ground. Here your target is a wooden shaped Tabuk looking object. You are to entangle this target to prevent its escape. <roll die>

12. Nearby as you exit the last barrier you find a huge Torvslander Axe, this is to be used on the "Tabuk" object to split the wood in half. <roll die>

13. You then race to the person posing as the Captain or other to hand him the scroll. Your time ends.
Total Points Scored plus 15 of scroll was not dropped, minus 5 if it was.
