City Trade Agreement
The following are the terms of the
contract to establish commercial trading of imports and exports and
mutual aid during times of peace between (City) and (City) .
I. Duration of Contract
The duration of this Trade agreement is set at one Gorean year (3
Mun Months), in which at the end of must be renewed, renegotiated,
or terminated. Date of this contract is third day of the Second
Hand, Month of Bakah in the year 10, 156CA.
In the event of either city acquiring a new Administration during
contracted time, such as a new Ubar, Administrator, High Council, or
En'Merchant, each city retains the right to petition a review of the
contract, to renew it, renegotiate, or terminate it. Such will not
occur without prior written notice to the other city.
II. Mutual Aid
Mutual Aid is considered to be assistance given and received between
the cities (-----) and ( City) to assist one another in times of
need for the sole purpose of securing trade en' route between
aforementioned cities.
This is not a military alliance in which may be called upon for the
waging of or the defending against the threat of war, and as such
mutual aid will be given freely only to secure the threat to
merchandise during transport from the natural dangers of such.
Mutual Aid may only be called upon under the below defined
circumstances.
When not in conflict of a previously dated writ of Alliance, nor
engaged in War with a City holding such Alliances between them; each
city may seek mutual aid of the other by way of its Warriors, on a
need by need basis, to ensure safe conduct between said cities, for
the sole purpose of trade between the cities.
III. Tariffs
The Import and Export Tariffs between the cities of ( xxxx) and (
xxxx) will be levied and set at three (3) percent of the gross value
of goods, entering or leaving their perspective cities, and each
respective City / Merchant shall be responsible for payment, due in
full upon arrival and receipt of proper bill of lading.
IV. Harbor and Docking Fee's
Harbor and Docking fee's in (xxxx) will be waived for the first
twenty ahn's for any merchant ships and their escort ships bearing
the flags of ( xxxx)
Once the allotted 20 ahn's has expired, ( xxxx City) ships will be
charged at 50% less then the usual standard docking and harbor fee's
for their duration in port.
V. City Entrance and Gate Fee's
City Entrance Fee's and or Gate Fee's for each city, shall be waived
when entering a city for the sole purpose to deliver, pick up trade
goods, negotiate trade, place orders, inquire of trade, or with a
guest pass to visit in the name of public relations.
VI. Thefts
Loss of goods, including but not limited to: theft, breakage,
spoilage, raid or piracy is the sole responsibility of the
originating port or merchant, henceforth known as (xxxx) and or (xxxx)
No raids or acts of piracy shall be sanctioned by either city or
their allied Cities. It is the sole responsibility of each city to
ensure allied cities are aware of trade agreements and alliances.
VII. Payment of goods
Payment of goods is due on receipt, after inspection, and a proper
of the bill of lading is shown. Once payment is made and the
affixing of receivers name to the bill of lading, any loss,
including but not limited to: breakage, spoilage, theft, raid, or
piracy, is the sole responsibility of the recipient.
VIII. Free Women
Free Women of the Trade Allied Cities, when engaged in trade
activities, shall be treated with respect, as though they are of the
respective cities. Collaring of Free Woman will remain as dictated
by the formal writ of each city. Detainment of a Free Woman is
acceptable, Collaring is not acceptable. The transgression of
courting a collar as such shall be addressed by the City Council or
Magistrate in the City of occurrence. Notice shall be sent
immoderately, to the city of the Free Woman, and courtesy shall be
extended, to allow a representative to arrive before a trial or
hearing is had when such is feasible and circumstances allow.
IX. Visitation of and between the Cities of (xxxx) and (xxxx) shall
be courteously applied for in advance that arrangement and
accommodations can be properly addressed.
Affixing of signatures below is legal acceptance of the
aforementioned terms, and takes effect immediately.
